1. Bouillon Julien

You can only experience the real Paris by eating in a proper bouillon. These places serve typical French dishes for a very good price, and all that, in the most beautiful, full, and vibrant restaurants. It is a true experience. Bouillon Julien is our favorite because of the beautiful, classic Art-Nouveau decoration. Another advantage of this particular Bouillon is that you can make reservations, so you won’t miss out on a spot (it is always full). 

As said before, the food is cheap here, you will find almost everything for under €10, don’t forget to pair it with a small carafe of house wine!

2. Le Barav

This is a true wine-valhalla. Go to the little shop next to Le Barav bar to choose the bottle that fits the situation best and the waiters of the bar will open it for you at the table! Pair your wine of choice with an amazing cheese- or charcuterie board and drink the night away! 

As this bar is always full of locals and students, you will find yourself immersed in the Parisian joie de vivre. And all that at a good location with beautiful outdoor seating.

3. Chez Gladines

In Paris and looking for the most beautiful unexplored neighborhood? Hop on the metro to Butte Aux Cailles! After wandering around this Parisian hidden gem, join the locals for lunch at Chez Gladines. This easygoing restaurant has a surprising menu serving Basque specialties (from the South-West of France).

4. Le Perroquet Vert

This typical Parisian restaurant on the foot of Montmartre takes you back in time. According to their website, famous Parisian artistslike Pablo Picasso and Edith Piaf often visited the historical restaurant. The old couple hosting and cooking will guide you through the menu, and you won’t be disappointed by the typical cuisine and amazing wines to pair it with.

5. Sacrée Fleur

Situated in the heart of Montmartre, the location of this little restaurant does not get much better. Sacrée Fleur focuses mainly on beef dishes and good French wines, so if you enjoy traditional French cuisine, this is the place to be after enjoying the sunset and the Sacré Coeur.
